Cassie Ventura, who had an on-and-off relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs for several years, appeared in recently discovered images showcasing what looks like substantial facial bruising from January 2013.
The resurfaced pictures capture the “Me & U” songstress along with her former boyfriend amid a crowd as they arrived at a lively event in Kingston, Jamaica.
In the group shot, Ventura stood at the forefront, wearing black sunglasses that seemingly concealed a fading bruise on her forehead and another near her eye. She appeared to have a different bruise on the side of her shaved head, a style that Diddy allegedly encouraged her to adopt back in 2009.
In the meantime, Diddy, dressed in an all-black outfit along with matching sunglasses, was frequently seen beside Ventura throughout the evening. In some images, he appeared to be counting cash that seemed to have just been handed to him.
Representatives and attorneys for both Ventura and Combs did not respond immediately to Page Six’s inquiries for comments.
The resurfaced footage is just one among numerous instances that reveal the now 38-year-old singer allegedly faced bruising and hardship during her tumultuous, long-term relationship with Combs.
The singer accused Combs, 54, of serious allegations including rape, sex trafficking, and abuse in November 2023.
At that time, she filed a lawsuit detailing how the Bad Boy Records founder allegedly coerced her into sexual acts with male prostitutes while filming, physically abused her, and supplied her with drugs.
This alleged misconduct persisted until their final breakup in 2018.
Despite his strong denials against the accusations and a quiet settlement of the lawsuit just 24 hours later, Diddy was compelled to issue an apology after a disturbing surveillance video emerged, depicting him violently assaulting Cassie as she attempted to escape their hotel room in 2016.
According to CNN, which acquired the security footage, the incident took place at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, California.
The footage showed the singer fleeing a hotel room while dressed in a black hoodie. As she approached the elevators, Combs—wearing only a towel—pursued her, pulling her to the ground and kicking her aggressively.
She was then dragged back to their hotel room, and it remains unclear if or when she managed to escape.
Following the video’s release, Diddy stated on Instagram, “My behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted.”
He further expressed that he felt “disgusted then” when he “did it” and continues to feel “disgusted now.”
The music producer concluded by sharing that he pursued professional help, started attending therapy and rehab, and sought mercy and grace from God.
Nonetheless, Ventura’s case has prompted numerous other alleged victims to step forward with similar allegations against Combs in a series of recent lawsuits.
Subsequently, Combs was arrested on September 16 in New York City on charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking through force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution.
After being denied bail several times, Combs remains incarcerated at a jail in Brooklyn.
Post his arrest, Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee announced he represents over 120 victims, all alleging different forms of abuse at the hands of Combs. Notably, 25 of these alleged victims were underage at the time of the purported abuse.
Combs and his legal team have strongly dismissed all of these allegations. The high-profile music producer’s trial is scheduled to commence on May 5, 2025.
