Chelsea Star Shatters Neymar’s Record—What It Means for the Team!

Chelsea Football Club is thrilled to welcome a bright new talent to their roster, as one of their young prospects has recently outshone a remarkable record held by Neymar. Back in 2009, Neymar recorded 16 goals and assists while playing for Santos in Brazil’s Serie A, a record that stood for U17 players until now. The Blues have secured the services of a player who has eclipsed this achievement, heralding an exciting future for the team.

Despite recent criticism of their transfer strategies, there are signs that some of Chelsea’s bold decisions are starting to bear fruit.

Estevao Willian, affectionately known as “Messinho,” is poised to join Chelsea in July 2025 upon turning 18, with a transfer fee reportedly around £56 million. Until then, the 17-year-old has been making headlines in Brazil’s Serie A while playing for Palmeiras.

In the 2024 season, Estevao has already made an impressive mark with 10 goals and eight assists—an outstanding tally with eight games left to play. His prolific contribution surpasses Neymar’s record and positions him ahead of other young stars from the 21st century. For context, Endrick had 11 goals at 17, while both Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo achieved 11 goals at the same age.

Estevao’s stellar performances have played a significant role in propelling Palmeiras to the second position in the league, trailing only by a single point behind Botafogo. His talent has not gone unnoticed by the national team, as he has already made appearances for Brazil’s senior squad during their World Cup qualifying matches against Ecuador and Paraguay in September.

As a highly-rated and promising talent, Estevao Willian will face some stiff competition for a place in Chelsea’s starting XI, especially with strong players like Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer, and Pedro Neto all capable of covering his position effectively.

Reports suggest that Estevao will remain at Stamford Bridge for the 2025/26 season, with no plans for a loan transfer, ensuring that he gets the chance to develop and shine at Chelsea.
