Agatha’s Revelation: Wanda’s Son Billy Returns in Shocking Twist. Could the fate of the multiverse hinge on the resurrection of a beloved character? In a jaw-dropping revelation at the end of “Agatha All Along” Episode 5, it was confirmed that Billy, Wanda Maximoff’s son, is alive, providing fertile ground for speculation regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Speculation swelled as fans wrestled with how this twist connects to comic lore and what it could mean for the emerging Young Avengers team.
The Resurrected Billy: Comic Origins and New Theories
The series has tapped into rich comic book lore to explain Billy’s existence, which hails from the 1980s when Wanda and Vision, in their suburban bliss, were believed to have created their twin sons with the help of Agatha Harkness. Yet, the twins were eventually revealed to be parts of Wanda’s imagination. Fast forward to modern comic continuity, and their souls were reborn into Billy Kaplan and Tommy Shepherd—characters who later became key players in the Young Avengers. To create cohesion with the MCU, fans must ponder how Wanda’s chaos magic and the events following “Multiverse of Madness” facilitated Billy’s return.
For the deeper comic savvy, the episode hints at Agatha’s residual energy awakening Billy’s dormant powers, which manifest differently. Unlike Wanda’s red energy, Billy’s powers flicker blue, a detail heavily rooted in comic mythos, further complicating the narrative between these two central figures. Marvel has a way of intertwining the fates of its characters, and the connection between Agatha and Wanda seems intentional.
The Bigger Picture: Young Avengers and Future Confirmations
As viewers look toward the future, questions abound regarding the nature of Wanda’s presence. Was she merely the puppet master behind the scenes, or does she have a more substantial plan in the works? Supporting characters, like the mysterious Rio, are cited as potential key players. Some theories suggest she embodies the essence of death itself, possibly influencing the fate of Agatha and the narrative surrounding Wanda’s children.
Moreover, the continued speculation about the Young Avengers gains traction as Marvel appears to set the stage for a new generation of heroes. The groundwork laid for this team—particularly with characters such as Kamala Khan and Kate Bishop emerging—induces excitement and anticipation.
Final Thoughts
The blend of nostalgia, intrigue, and speculation surrounding Wanda’s children teeters on the edge of something larger. With Billy’s resurrection interwoven with complex comic book threads and potential ties to a new generation of heroes, the MCU is at an inflection point. How will these developments shape the trajectory of future storylines? As fans eagerly await the next episode, one stirring question remains: Will the Young Avengers rise from the shadows, and what role will Wanda ultimately play in their formation?
Engage with the theory crafting and share your predictions—should the Young Avengers take the form of a movie or a series? As the plot thickens with Agatha’s series, diving into such discussions is essential for following Marvel’s intricate storytelling.

Im amazed people think Rio is now Death…..not even close….🖤
This show will actually end up being Agatha’s redemption…..she will reach the end and bring back the 1 that fell on the road AND Wanda……also Rio is Blackheart….and you cant put a sigal on yourself
Also….we wont get Tommy….ever….and Billy is a test for Agatha
What if Ned is Tommy lol
“You cant fool us”….no one has talked about Blackheart ….which Rio LITERALLY says she has a black heart!!
Rio cant kill Agatha because they had a relationship and they are bonded
Isn't Eliath's magic purple?
I think if you remove most of MoM from the explanation of why Billy at least is alive, the theoretical chain of events makes more sense
Wanda in the post credits scene of WV, while reading from the Darkhold, hears her kids calling for help. At this point she knows they’re alive in this universe
And when it looked like she slammed the book shut, I took that to mean she went immediately to them, realized they were hurt/trapped, and freed their souls, yet somehow she herself was trapped
I think she sent Billy to get Agatha to free her from wherever she currently is, bc as she said to Agatha before she hexxed her “if I need you, I’ll know where to find you”
I thought Teen was the Darkhold trying to remake itself
my theory is that Agatha (way back in Salem days) made a deal with Death/Rio so that she wouldn’t die. in the deal, Rio/Death gives Agatha the power to absorb other people’s power in order to kill them, and bring more bodies for Death. so like a trade off. Agatha gets to live forever, Death gets a bunch of bodies.
also, at the end of the witches road, you get what you desire most. i think Agatha assumes she’ll become the most powerful witch, but i think it would be a gag if she gets back her son and then left with no powers. would be a nice redemption arc showing she has a heart.
Billy's powers were already in blue in wandavision, so I don't know about the purple minus red theory as an explanation
You talked about Rio's colour being green… note the other green magic character we've seen is Hela – goddess of death
I hope that next project is about Wanda fining her children including speed!! and also Vision needs to be back to have that family reunion and house of M arc that would be fire
If Agatha sucks the life out of people when absorbing powers, why doesn’t that happen to Agatha when Wanda absorbed her powers?? Just curious….
Teen does not seem to be Billy. He gives vibes of Nicholas Scratch or Mephisto. Few weeks ago I said somewhere that he is a walking Darkhold or Kid Darkhold.
@ 21:50 You fully lost me when you mentioned Rios just a drug addict that is there and about all . Where do you find these people to be on some of your streams ?… Dumbest theory for no reason i have heard from anyone in a LLLLOOONNNGGGG time .
even w/ all the products and hard proof and somebody still thinks she isnt Death in the Mcu .
This video triggered a thought. They may have to do a change in Agatha's powers. Since Dr. Doom is coming and he has both science and magic abilities, all they would need to defeat him is have him blast Agatha once and it's over.
West coast avengers and Young's avengers should have already happened
I think Disney should be setting up for West Coast Avengers and Young Avengers with the young actors who will be irl teenagers by the time they get to a show about young Avengers and the 20s but hopefully not early 30s year old characters leading films about the West Coast Avengers
28:13 Ryan expressed something I’ve been thinking for awhile – just cuz you throw lots of money at something doesn’t automatically make it good and mean you’re going to turn a profit
😸😸
Maybe Rio is Mephisto. Also, qwhen Agatha said that Wiccan was like his mother, yes, she defs knew that Wanda was his mom. She also KNEW that he wasn't her son vause she heard him say her sons name and he couldn't say his own name at that time.
I think it's going to be far simpler to explain Billy in the show than what is in the comics. It first starts what is already established in WandaVision. While Wanda manipulated reality around the residents, she only created 3 beings throughout the entire series. In episode 3 she created a stork and her infant sons. She tried to poof away the stork to keep Monica from seeing it, it refused. Wanda tried to quiet her babies in episode 4, they refused. She had to plead with them to not age up. Wanda can't control the beings she spontaneously creates.
When the Hex drops, the beings created of Chaos magic, aren't going to comply with Wanda's magic. Their corporeal bodies may be destroyed but not the souls she created out of whole cloth. Those souls are going to wander about and look for new vessels to live in. So, basically the soul of Billy Maximoff is going to find the most advantageous vessel in the vicinity. That being the body of Billy Kaplan, who most likely dies in a nearby car crash. I don't think Marvel is going to do two souls' scenario and treat Billy Maximoff as a dark passenger in Billy Kaplan's body. I think he will be Billy Maximoff spiritually in the biological body of Billy Kaplan. He will be both. The only question I have is Marvel going to identify him as a Kaplan or not. At this point, we know he has biological parents he's been living with for the past 3 years. He is spiritually connected to Wanda who he knew for about a week in WandaVision. Who will he identify more with, Billy Kaplan's biological parents or his spiritual mother, Wanda?
I don't like this, Wiccan is handsome, but Charlie Spring from Heart Stoppers is not SO… just because he played a gay role for Heartstopper, that DOES NOT MEAN he is best to play Wiccan… did diddy or someone like diddy have your back? grrr. I'm not watching,, I'm not watching…
or might for the graphics and story, I don't like him playing as Wiccan
I'm looking for someone else to have noticed that we have actually gotten 2 full out of sequence sentences from Lilia. When she says "I love you guys" in the middle of ep3 it was out of place but it goes with her saying "you know, when we first started out i couldn't stand yall but now…." and then Jen goes "but now what? Lilia where do you go?" I can't be the only one.
Theory wrong af
"Not Flash Thompson," that would get in trouble with their Distinguished Competitors.
Most of this didn’t age well.
"You get gray" – that is the funniest thing Doug has said ever, among a great many funny things. Well done!
Knew it was wiccan soon as the kid was on screen
